This car was built on the 16th September 1987 by Nissan Australia and was first sold and registered on the 10th October 1987 as a Company vehicle in Chatswood NSW. It was sold by Davidson Motors of Ryde to a one lady owner, first as her company car and then subsequently as her private use car, where it was used predominately as her commuter to the Pennant Hills train station. Testament to this fact is its very low mileage of just 79K kms in sixteen (16) years.

In April 2004, she then sold it to the current ‘collector’ owner who has it stored in his undercover collection since that time. It still has the original dealer’s handbook, which includes the Owner’s Manual bearing the original Vehicle Warranty & Identification certificate. Also included is the original NSW registration certificate from October 1987 and some early servicing records.

The car was repainted in 2004 when it was purchased by the current owner in the original factory colour of Burgundy & Silver and it shows beautifully after a clean from under the barn dust. The interior and upholstery are original and show in excellent well-kept condition. The underside of this car is amazing with no rust whatsoever! The sporty Silhouette model from the factory featured very stylish two-tone paint, and had a limited-slip diff, 15″ factory wheels, air-conditioning, sports seats & trim, rear spoiler and a trip computer.

If you are an enthusiast, you will know that this Silhouette is powered and driven by the legendary 3.0L inline 6-cyl EFI RB30E engine & 4-speed automatic transmission that rose to fame in the VL Commodore series, which today are still the most sought after early Commodore model series.

This Nissan Skyline Silhouette is a genuine authentic Collectors Barn-Find car and a rust-free example of this model, and truly a very rare car to find these days in this condition and with such low mileage. Obviously coming out of hibernation there will be due diligence required with re-hydrating, lubrication & oils as there always is with this age of car and having sat in storage for years.
