1963 Ford Ranchero Utility powered by a 3.3L 200cui 6-cyl Ford engine and driven by a C4 3-speed floor-shift automatic transmission.
This car was produced on the 25th February 1963 in Ford’s San Jose, Northern California plant as a Ranchero Deluxe utility and was fitted with an ‘U-Code’ 170cui OHV in-line 6-cylinder engine. The trim/body plate identifies it as painted in Corinthian White with Black vinyl interior trim. It was fitted with a standard 3-speed manual transmission paired to a 3.50:1 ratio differential and delivered to the San Jose, Northern California sales district. it has spent all its life in the dry north west states of California and Oregon.
This is great little daily driver and would be a great candidate for a “shop truck!” It now features an updated driveline which includes a 200ci in-line 6-cylinder engine and a C4 3-spd automatic transmission with a floor shifter. The lope of the mild cam together with the header and dual exhaust give this little Ranchero a distinctive note and it sounds awesome. This car is sitting on 14″ radial whitewall tyres, and it comes with many records and receipts of maintenance work completed in the past.
The body is very solid and the paint is nice, although an older restoration and a repaint in Wimbledon White. There are signs of a rust repair in the driver’s side floorpan and there are some minor paint bubbles coming through on the lower quarters of each door. The re-trimmed interior looks great and gives this car a good feel.
This would be a fun little toy to cruise and show!!
