1968 Ford Mustang ‘J-Code’ 2-Door Hardtop Coupe powered by a 5.0L 302cui 4V Ford V8 Windsor engine and driven by a C-4 3-speed floor-shift automatic transmission.
The 1967 model year saw the first redesign of the original Mustang model, where the overall size, interior and cargo space were increased, and for 1968 importantly the introduction of the 5.0L 302cui Windsor V8 engine.
This Mustang was built in San Jose, California on 9th January 1968 and was delivered new into the San Jose-San Francisco, CA DSO and has stayed in the dry states of California & Oregon all it’s life. According to it’s trim plate it originally wore Highland Green exterior paint with Black comfort weave interior. It has been repainted in Raven Black and the car now looks very sharp.
The car itself has a very straight body with good quality paint, and overall it is a ‘rust free’ car apart from a couple of rust bubbles low down on the passenger door and down low in front of the passenger side rear wheel. The interior is in excellent condition, and still with the original carpet which is now showing some signs of fading. The under carriage of the car is also in good shape, and all chrome and glass are in excellent condition.
Mechanically the car is in very good shape and runs & drives excellent.
