1966 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback powered by a 4.7L 289cui Ford V8 engine and driven by a C-4 3-speed floor-shift automatic transmission.
History :- This Mustang was built in San Jose, CA on 17th November 1966 and was delivered new into Salt Lake City, Utah and stayed in the dry states of Utah and Arizona until 2016, and has been garaged its entire life. It is a rare factory Wimbledon White (option code M) with red interior (option code 25). This is a stunning color combination. The original door tag confirms the factory color combinations and options. 150K original miles. This car was purchased out of a private car collection from the second owner. He rarely drove the car during his ownership. A lot of time and money has gone into the preservation of this car. This car is about as original as you will ever find, with completely original and numbers matching 289 2V motor & C-4 automatic transmission.
Interior :- The original interior is in near mint condition. Perfect headliner, door panels and dash. New carpet. The front seats were reupholstered with reproduction seat upholstery in the factory color. New front seat cushions. Original working factory mustang radio. The original rear seat upholstery is exceptional, and all electrical, gauges, and interior lights work.
Exterior :- Very solid, dry, and rust free car. This car has never been in any accidents as well as never needed or had any rust repair. All the body panels are original as well as all of the factory spot welds. All VIN numbers and door tags are in place. Rare 14″ deep dish reverse offset Shelby type steel wheels with original hubcaps are included. The underside coating is in excellent condition and has done a great job of preserving the undercarriage from rust. New Toyo high performance tyres. New fuel tank & sender unit. Perfect door and body lines/gaps.
Mechanical :- Original 150K miles, with just under 30K miles now on the rebuilt motor and transmission. Original factory 8″ differential. New battery, recently rebuilt/resealed carburetor. All new belts, hoses, and fuel lines. New KYB gas shocks. The brake system has been recently rebuilt as well. Recent alignment. All of the front end bushings, tie rod ends, ball joints are excellent and have been replaced recently. The steering is tight, the brakes are excellent. New gas tank, fuel sender, power steering pump, electronic Petronix ignition, water pump, radiator, thermostat, alternator, chrome valve covers and air cleaner (original valve cover and air cleaner included). New brakes front and rear, new wheel cylinders, master cylinder, rubber brake lines, and freshly greased wheel bearings. The car does not leak or drip oil. Fresh complete tune up. The motor always starts immediately.
The car runs, drives, stops and looks great.
