1967 Ford Mustang 2-dr Hardtop Coupe powered by a 4.7L 289cui V8 Ford Windsor small block engine and driven by a 3-speed console-shift manual transmission.
This Mustang Coupe was built in Ford’s Metuchen, New Jersey plant on the 21st November 1966 and was painted Medium Gold Metallic and featured standard Black bucket seat vinyl interior. It was produced as a C-code 289cui-2v V8 engined car with a 3-spd console-shift manual transmission and driven through a conventional 3.10:1 differential, and was first delivered to the Richmond, Virginia DSO on the US East Coast.
The car itself now still appears as original apart from a repaint in Matte Black, the floorpans having been replaced and a brand new dual exhaust system fitted. The interior, although original, still appears to be in very good shape, with only a few marks and scratches. The headliner and visors are all good, and the car features a centre console.
Mechanically the car drives good and the transmission shifts easily. The brakes, although being drums all round, work well having just had all wheel cylinders, rear brake hose and dual-bowl master cylinder replaced.
The wheels are new 15″ Styled chrome rims with new 215/65 Cooper Cobra Radial GT tyres which compliment the Matte Black paint nicely.
Nothing fancy about this car, just a good solid coupe with a bit of ‘hod rodder’ appeal!!
