1964 Ford F-100 Custom Cab Styleside Longbed pickup truck powered by a 5.8L 351cui V8 Ford Cleveland small block engine and driven by a 3-speed column-shift automatic transmission.
April 17 1964, would go down in the annals of the Ford Motor Company as one of the company’s best days, for it was on that day that Ford introduced the Mustang. Without question, it was the hit of the year, if not the decade. But let’s not forget their truck side either, for in 1964 they introduced a separate box for Styleside models, rendering the “unibody” pickup trucks a thing of the past. Also in 1964 Ford introduced an all-new 262 cubic-inch inline six-cylinder engine to bridge the gap between the base 223cui inline-6 and the 292cui optional V8.
This F-100 was built in March 1964 and was originally powered by a 292cui Y-block V8 engine; this has been replaced with a refreshed 351cui V8 Cleveland small block engine. This is a southern US pickup which sees very clean floors & frame and runs & drives nicely. It shows nice Black paint, very good chrome & glass, and updated red upholstery, carpet & trim.
