1965 Chevrolet Impala 4-dr Pillarless Hardtop Sport Sedan powered by a 5.4L 327cui V8 GM Chevy small block engine and driven by a 3-speed column-shift manual transmission.
If any car deserves to be called the archetypal sixties American automobile, it’s the Chevrolet Impala. In 1965, the peak of its popularity, one in every nine new cars sold in the United States was an Impala. The Impala had evolved into a highly specific symbol of class attainment for moderately affluent suburbanites careful to neither understate nor overstep their social position.
This Impala was built in GM’s Van Nuys, Los Angeles, California plant in the 2nd week of June 1965 as an Ermine White with Turquoise interior 4-dr pillarless hardtop sport sedan, and was delivered to the Frank Chevrolet Company in the Portland DSO and has spent all it’s life in the west coast state of Oregon. This car is well documented with the original 1965 Chevrolet Impala owner’s manual and ‘protect-o-plate’ warranty card & booklet.
You don’t find many of these 4-dr hardtops cruising around and this one’s very original throughout! It’s powered by a 327 cubic inch V8 engine with a 4- barrel carburetor and a smooth shifting standard 3-speed column shift manual transmission. It’s finished in nearly all original Ermine White exterior with the original Turquoise upholstery and sits on a nice set of radial black wall tyres. The dual exhaust sounds fantastic and makes this car sound as great as it looks and drives! The car has no rust issues, it has unbelievable original upholstery, headliner and dashpad, and the chrome & glass are also in excellent condition.
This is a very hard to find Impala in this condition and will not disappoint the most discerning enthusiast!!
