1968 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 2-door Convertible powered by a 7.0L 427cui V8 390hp GM Chev L36 big block engine and driven by a THM350 3-spd console-shift automatic transmission.
1968 saw the introduction of the 3rd generation of the Corvette, and this so-called “Shark” generation was a very different sort of sports car than its predecessors – what was a dual-purpose race-and-ride machine had evolved into more of a plush and powerful boulevard cruiser. This C3 model saw the substitution of the old 2-spd Powerglide gearbox for GM’s then new 3-spd Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission. The 1968 Corvette remained an exhilarating ride, and it had plenty of power even in small-block form.
Featuring almost new Red upholstery, this car is in immaculate condition and is super solid and clean.
