1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 2-dr Hardtop powered by a 4.6L 283cui V8 GM Chev small block engine and driven by a 2-speed PowerGlide column-shift automatic transmission.
This Bel Air was built in GM’s Baltimore plant as a factory V8 2-dr hardtop car in 1956 and remains today in its same factory combinations.
This car is very mellow and has seen a recent repaint in its original factory colours of two-tone Crocus Yellow & Onyx Black, which accentuates the chrome trim nicely. It has also been nicely restored inside with the upholstery now showing the original factory matching interior. The body is straight, with the glass and all brightwork in very good condition.
It features a quiet dual exhaust, a newer alternator upgrade and stock full Chevy wheels & caps with whitewall radial tyres. The engine bay and components have been recently degreased, cleaned and repainted to present in a very clean and tidy condition. This car, being in its original livery, attracts a lot of attention wherever it goes.
So, here is another highly sought after “Tri-Five” Chevy hardtop! No frills here; it is a great driver and you will get a lot of attention with this unique factory colour combination. It is a very good solid car to upgrade mechanically with more horsepower and braking if that ‘floats your boat’.
