1967 Ford Mustang 2-dr Hardtop Coupe powered by a 4.7L C-code 289cui-2V V8 Ford Windsor small block engine and driven by a C4 4-spd floor-shift automatic transmission.
This car was built in Ford’s San Jose, California plant on the 28th July 1967 and was painted Lime Gold and featured standard Black vinyl interior. It was produced as a C-code 289cui-2V V8 Windsor engine car with a 3-spd manual transmission. This ’67 Coupe was delivered to the Seattle, Washington DSO where it was sold, and has been a resident all it’s life. Being a life-long US west coast car, it is about as rust free as you will find.
The car presents very well, with a repaint and change of colour to Sapphire Blue not that long ago. There is some minor bubbly rust appearing behind the wheel well on the passenger side quarter.
Inside, the interior is in good condition with the trim very tidy, however it is missing the original AM Pony radio. The trunk is in good shape, showing only signs of surface rust.
Under the hood, the 289 V8 engine fires up easily and runs very well. The original manual transmission has now been replaced with a C4 automatic transmission, which appears to be a very recent upgrade, and it goes into gear quickly and shifts properly.
The undercarriage is in very good condition, with only some minor pin holes in the drivers floorpan. Overall the floors, frame rails, torque boxes and trunk drop offs are all in very good condition.
This is a very nice ’67 Mustang Coupe which needs only some minor personal touches.
