Car Description

1964 Ford F-100 Stepside SWB pickup truck powered by a 4.2L 262cui 6-cyl Ford engine and driven by a 3-speed column shift manual transmission.

April 17 1964, would go down in the annals of the Ford Motor Company as one of the company’s best days, for it was on that day that Ford introduced the Mustang. Without question, it was the hit of the year, if not the decade. But let’s not forget their truck side either, for in 1964 they introduced a separate box for Styleside models, rendering the “unibody” pickup trucks a thing of the past. Also in 1964 Ford introduced an all-new 262 cubic-inch inline six-cylinder engine to bridge the gap between the base 223cui inline-6 and the 292cui optional V8.

This pickup is a prime candidate for a classic restoration project, and where all the vital basic ingredients are intact. This truck starts, runs and drives but will certainly need work to see it roadworthy, and yes it does come with rust!!

These pickup trucks are now so hard to find in original condition, let alone the much rarer short-wheel-base Stepside model.

Features & Options

  • 4.2L 262cui inline-6cyl Ford engine
  • Ford 3-speed column-shift manual transmission
  • New exhaust
  • New battery
  • New windscreen
