1971 Chevrolet C10 ‘Cheyenne’ Longbed pickup truck powered by a 7.4L 454cui V8 Chev big block engine and driven by a Turbo Hydramatic THM400 3-speed column-shift automatic transmission.
This is a 2nd generation (1967 to 1972) pickup truck, and in 1971, the Chevrolet trucks were given a new grille design, and a new trim package was introduced called the ‘Cheyenne’. These packages were basically comfort features including a nicer interior, more padding and insulation, carpet, chrome trim, and upper and lower side molding and tailgate trim. Also 1971 was the first year for AM/FM radios to be factory installed and the front brakes on all light-duty trucks were switched from drums to discs. Another change was to the lug pattern, which had been a six-lug bolt pattern. The new pattern was a five-lug pattern in similar fashion to Buick, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, and Pontiac passenger cars.
Originally from the factory this was a 396cui big block pickup which was painted dark olive green & white. In 2016 it was restored featuring a 1971 date coded rebuilt 454cui big block engine and painted orange & white. At the same time the complete drivetrain was overhauled, fuel tank & lines flushed, a new interior installed, all chrome trim replaced and new wheels & tyres fitted.
This beautifully restored pickup has only 113,000 original miles and is a very solid, straight and ‘rust free’ truck. The original dealer ‘Protect-O-Plate’ for this pickup is also available and included.
