Car Description

1968 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback powered by a 4.7L ‘C-Code’ 289cui V8 Ford Windsor small block engine matched to a C4 3-spd console-shift automatic transmission and driven through a conventional rear differential w/ 2.79:1 highway gearing.

          Lifelong Southern Californian Car!
          Rebuilt 289 V8 w/ 4-bbl Carby
          Rebuilt C4 Auto Transmission
          Power Steering
          Power-Assisted Front Disc Brakes
          Shelby Style Alloy Wheels

This Fastback was built in Ford’s San Jose, Northern California plant on the 16th November 1967 and featured Wimbledon White paint matched to standard Black vinyl upholstery with front bucket seats. It was powered by a 4.7L ‘C-Code’ 289cui-2v V8 Windsor small block engine, matched with a C4 3-speed automatic transmission and paired to a conventional rear differential with 2.79:1 highway gearing. It was delivered and sold into the Los Angeles, Southern California DSO where it has spent all its life.

This car was fully restored 8-9 years ago, and it has not seen many miles being driven since the restoration. A 4-bbl carburetor was fitted as part of the restoration. Being a Southern Californian car all its life, this car is rust free with excellent floors and frame rails in particular.

It features a lovely repaint in its original factory colour of Wimbledon White with Blue centre stripes. All glass, chrome and trim are in excellent condition.

The engine fires up easily, sounds great and out on the road it has plenty of power. The C4 automatic transmission shifts nicely as well. A Marti Report and production build sheet are also available with the car.

The car is still wearing its original ‘Black & Yellow‘ Californian number plates. It’s very hard to find a genuine 2+2 Fastback in this condition.

Please note: This Mustang is situated in Southern California, with a clear title and is available for immediate import into Australia. This price is an ALL-INCLUSIVE landed price in Australia incl GST.
