This Mustang Coupe car was built in Ford’s San Jose, Northern California plant on the 10th January 1968 and was painted Sunlit Gold Metallic and featured standard Black bucket seat vinyl interior. It was produced as a J-code 302cui-4v V8 engined car with a 4-spd floor-shift manual transmission and driven through a conventional 3.00:1 differential, and was first delivered to the Seattle, Washington State DSO on the US Pacific North West Coast.
This GT Tribute is begging to be driven and enjoyed! It was originally a Factory J-Code car, but is now sporting an upgraded and dressed 1968 dated 390 GT engine. For enhanced driving fun the car has been treated to a 4-spd manual toploader transmission and a 9″ Detroit Locker rear end w/ 3.50 gearing.
This is a great looking car, with straight body panels and now sporting a repaint in traditional Mustang Springtime Yellow paint. It is not a factory GT, but a nice GT tribute with all the ‘bells & whistles’. It sees nice chrome trim and good glass, and features a Black vinyl roof. You will find some minor paint blistering at the bottom front of the driver’s door, otherwise the car is super solid in the floors, frame and trunk.
Inside, you’ll find the very tidy original style Black interior which has seen a previous restoration. The car inside also features both the overhead and lower centre console options and an Autogage tachometer.
This Mustang runs and drives great, and makes for a fun car to drive and enjoy on weekends.
