1972 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu 2-dr Hardtop Coupe powered by a 5.7L 350cui V8 GM Chevy L48 small block engine matched with a THM350 3-speed column-shift automatic transmission and driven through a conventional 10-bolt rear differential with 2.73:1 highway gearing.
The ’70-72 Chevelle’s have some of the sexiest curves and muscle, and this ’72 is one beautiful curvy car! Not an SS, but the classic lines combined with its modern upgrades and muscle make it a subdued sport coupe of its own variety! This car sits in such a great place for the classic car lover.
This Chevelle was built in GM’s Arlington, Texas plant in the 2nd week of March 1972 as a Malibu 2-dr Hardtop Sport Coupe and featured Gulf Green lower body paint with an Antique White roof matched to Green vinyl & brocade cloth upholstery and with a front bench seat. It was originally powered by a 5.7L 350cui-2v V8 L48 small block engine, matched with a THM 3-speed column-shift automatic transmission and paired to a 2.73:1 conventional rear differential.
This Chevelle is showing only 56K miles on the odometer, which is believed to be original mileage. It has had a single repaint some time ago, now showing in Sequoia Green paint over its original body panels, and being a Southern Californian car has ZERO rust issues. This car is a bone stock true west coast rust-free survivor!!
Mechanically the car runs and drives strongly having been upgraded with a 4-bbl carburetor for superior performance; and the air conditioning is non-operational but is all in place, just requiring a re-gas. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly. The original factory Green interior shows in great shape for its age, and all glass & chrome are in excellent condition. There is nothing to spend on this car, other than an a/c re-gas, so it makes for a great no-guilt survivor-driver.
Still wearing its original ‘Blue & Yellow’ Californian plates, it is very hard to find a true bone stock survivor car in this condition, let alone being a Chevelle!!
Please note: This car is situated in Southern California, with a clear title and is available for immediate import into Australia. This price is an ALL-INCLUSIVE landed price in Australia incl GST.
