1968 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 2-door Hardtop Coupe powered by a 5.7L 350cui LT-1 Chev V8 small block engine and driven by a M21 Muncie 4-speed console-shift manual transmission.
The Z/28 performance package was designed (with further modifications) to compete in the Trans Am series. It included a solid-lifter 302cui 4.9L V8 engine, 4-barrel vacuum secondary 780cfm Holley carburetor, aluminium intake manifold, 4-speed Muncie transmission, power disc brakes, upgraded suspension (w/ Posi-Trac optional) and two wide “skunk” stripes down the hood and trunk lid. The origin of the Z/28 nameplate came from the RPO code Z28 which was the code for ‘Special Performance Package’. Cowl induction hoods were introduced in the 1969 model year.
This is a real Z/28 and is all original except for the engine which was replaced in 1995 with a 5.7L 350cui LT-1 and was built by Hendrix Racing. The car was then fully restored ten (10) years ago, with the original transmission and rear end, and it has only been driven approx 1100 miles since.
This is a very strong car and there will be no disappointments here!!
